A good day on the hill in windy conditions. Climbed the pipe road from Arrochar car park then headed up a new track through the forest. I think I am going to try and find a way of using this in the Arrochar alps race next week. I'll have to get up and find a way down of the front of Narnain that connects with this track.
The climb went well and we stopped for some food near the Narnain boulders although this might have been a mistake as the kids got a little cold here. With some persuasion and a good climb up Narnain we were soon warm again. On the summit we didn't stay for long only pausing for some quick pics.
The descent down the front is really good and the kids loved running down sections of it. It is tricky in places especially for a six year old but Alfie coped well with only one tumble which he picked himself up from with a chuckle. All in all a good day on the hill and three tired children.

Stob a Choire Odhair
+Holly Walker
Munro: Stob a Choire Odhair. More info....
Date: 8-Jun-2013
Weather: Hot with light breeze on the tops.
Baggers: Iain, Sasha and Alfie.
A spur of the moment decision by Alfie and Sasha asking to go hill walking led to us quickly packing some lunch and heading out with the dogs to Bridge of Orchy and the hills to the West. As the dogs were coming and the weather was hot we decided the best hill for us would be one with no sheep and lots of streams to jump in. It was a great day out and the kids really enjoyed it. Lots of frogs to keep them amused.
